The Connexin Live
Over 400,000 visitors have experienced events here at the venue since 2018 including Bob Dylan, Catfish & The Bottlemen, Ne-Yo, Paloma Faith, JLS, Sarah Millican, Blondie, Noel Gallagher and many more.
The venue is a state-of-the-art music and events complex with a capacity of up to 4,000 people for concerts and live events, plus an array of bars, lounges, premium seating and hospitality suits including the Connexin Lounge.

The Role
Are you passionate about events and ready to grow your technical skills? We’re looking for a Technician to join Connexin Live and support the smooth delivery of all technical and production aspects at our vibrant venue.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in the success of every event by managing technical setups, overseeing venue turnarounds, and handling reactive maintenance during events. You’ll supervise the house crew during turnarounds, ensuring seamless operations and service. Additionally, you’ll assist with the management of our casual pool of staff, helping to maintain an engagement and effective team.

You will be responsible for:
- Deliver technical support for events in the auditorium and breakout spaces.
- Assist with event support, load ins/outs, temporary power installation, sound/light operation, and reactive maintenance.
- Liaise with promoters, tour managers, and event organizers for advancing events.
- Support senior technician with staff training development and delivery.
- Help maintain risk assessments and safe work systems per Health and Safety legislation.
- Ensure PPE usage as required and promote a positive health and safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with ASM Global Health and Safety policies.
You will have:
- Experience in events-based environments, ideally in multi-purpose spaces with mixed programs.
- Passion for high service delivery standards and leading by example.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and perform fault-finding and repairs.
- Supervising experience.
- Awareness of Health and Safety in production and stage settings.
- Knowledge of statutory requirements for live events.
- Understanding of electrical safety in the live events industry.
- Experience in maintaining technical equipment proactively and reactively.
Desirable:
- AutoCAD experience for interpreting technical drawings.
- Experience with DANTE audio networks.
- Knowledge of event lighting systems including DMX, Art-Net, and sACN.
- Recent counterbalance Forklift Truck training.
- Familiarity with BS7909 electrical systems and willingness to train further.
