The Venue

CGC Event Caterers is a long-established caterer with decades of experience in the hospitality industry. We operate at venues of all sizes and have exclusivity at prominent sporting, entertainment and cultural locations across the UK and is also the European Catering Division for ASM Global, the global leader in the delivery of live entertainment and events. We operate at Yorkshire racecourses including the world-famous York Racecourse.

The Role

As the go-to person for everything related to the daily operations and logistics of our F&B business systems, you'll be at the heart of the action! Your mission? To keep things running smoothly, ensuring our systems are reliable, efficient, and perfectly tuned to meet business needs. Your work will directly fuel the growth of F&B revenue across our vibrant CGC and ASM Global UK venues. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing UK asset logistics and technology.
  • Leading onsite technical support and coordinating the Technical Operations Team with the Business Systems Executive.
  • Implementing and enforcing best practices to achieve operational excellence.
  • Developing and overseeing a troubleshooting framework for F&B technology.
  • Coordinating the ASM Global EPOS system to ensure seamless business operations.
  • Supporting innovation and mobilization projects in collaboration with the Commercial Procurement Director EU.
  • Driving the technology roadmap with F&B partners, focusing on development, testing, and cashless venue advancement.

You will have:

  • A strong IT technical or engineering background (advantageous).
  • Experience with EPOS, PSP, e-commerce, SaaS, and IT infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of training operational end users using the train-the-trainer model.
  • Experience coordinating event day teams in the hospitality industry.
  • A self-starter attitude with exceptional coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

It is necessary to be flexible in this role as it may be required to work nights, weekends, and adapt to changing schedules.
