About Becketwell Arena
Becketwell is a cutting-edge events complex with a capacity of up to 3,500 people. It is designed to host a variety of events, including large corporate conferences, exhibitions, trade shows, major touring concerts, stand-up comedy, family performances, and sporting events. About the Role
Our Venue Security Supervisors are responsible for the security of all our colleagues and visitors, assets and buildings, venue grounds/outside spaces. This an integral role in our Venue Operations team as you will work shoulder-to-shoulder with our Security Manager, leading the team to ensure our venue is always safe and secure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a 24/7 service, securing company staff, guests, and property.
- Maintain and monitor the venue security policy.
- Manage the CCTV policy, procedures, and monitoring.
- Monitor the Fire Panel and all hardware systems including, but not limited to, fire system, CCTV, and House Radio, are fully functional and maintained.
- Assist with all venue security / emergency / evacuation / business continuity procedures and ensure they are up to date and practical.
- To manage, supervise and develop the shift-based Arena house security team and the control room to provide high standards of professional quality service.
- Supervise the receipt of deliveries and ensure correct distribution across the venue.
- Supervise both the internal and external monitoring of the site along with our Security Manager
- Work with a Duty Manager during events should an emergency arise.
- Cover Fire Safety Officer duties for events.
Key Skills/Experience:
- At least 2 years’ experience of working in security, ideally within the entertainment/leisure industry.
- Excellent organisation and planning skills with the ability to work flexibly under pressure, to prioritise and to meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Smart appearance and presentation.
- Confidence and energy, with a proactive nature and the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of leading and developing a team.
