About the Role
We're seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Box Office Team as Assistant Box Office Manager This is an exciting role where you will play a pivotal part in ensuring our Box Office runs efficiently to support our loyal customers getting tickets and information for our exciting shows.

Your Responsibilities
- Act in the role of the Box Office Manager during periods of leave.
- Assist with the supervision of all aspects of operations of the ticketing services and Box Office Department within the Venue
- Assist with all required rostering, training and development and ad-hoc managerial activity within the department.
- Ensure the team are adhering to all relevant H&S, GDPR and any other relevant legislation and compliant always.
- Ensure the department works cooperatively with the Hallé, BBC Philharmonic and other subscription-based organisations to ensure the timely and accurate setup and placement within Tessitura of their subscription seasons and general ticketing requirements.
- Monitor all relevant budgets and work with Box Office Manager to keep this under control.
- Assist with post event analysis and inputting data as necessary into the Event Scheduling package.
- Provide the Marketing Department with data as requested.
- Provide any reports that may be required by the Venue and company executives including using SQL and Tessitura
- Work evening and weekend hours as necessary and or required.
- Travel to events and conferences as directed and provided by the company on an as required basis.
Key Skills and Experience
- Experience of working in a similar role and business - Essential
- Experience of working in an events-based environment, ideally within a similar multi-purpose space with a mixed programme.
- Knowledge of the local and regional entertainment offers and venues.
- Experience of successfully working to strict time deadlines with the ability to effectively prioritise a range of tasks.
- Understanding of electrical safety related to live events.
- The ability to effectively manage own and others time.
